The "Second Hesse Digital Radio Day" was held on Sunday in and around the Zierenberg telecommunication tower near Kassel. More than 350 specialist dealers and radio listeners from all over North Hesse took the opportunity to get in-depth information on the digital radio standard.

Impressions from the Hessentag festival
The Hessen LPR (the supervisory authority responsible for private broadcasters in Hesse) stand gave a glimpse behind the scenes, showing how radio is produced. The 'Rockfun24' initiative put on a radio programme for the Hessentag festival in a glass studio which was broadcast in digital quality across Hessen on Digital Radio as well as on 88.5 MHz in Idstein and Bad Camberg and 88.6 MHz in Wiesbaden. The radio for 'Hessentag' was also the launch-pad for long-term Internet radio.

High End trade fair in Neu Isenburg - Gravenbruch
From 9 - 12 May 2002, Europe's largest and most important trade fair for audio products was held in Neu Isenburg - Gravenbruch. Digital Radio was of course there showcasing its excellence in sound quality. Many keen and inquiring visitors were able to gain detailed information about the audio broadcasting standard of the future at Hessen Digital Radio GmbH's stand. In the ballroom HDR presented the latest home receiver, CAT from Audionet, and the DR1 Box from Terratec, which can be integrated into stereo equipment or indeed connected by USB to the home PC.
